We are often asked how easy or hard it is to build a DIY conservatory. It is not very difficult but obviously the instructions we provide are there to be read. The vital part is the basework. As long as the base is built exactly to our plans, then the rest is easy. We will provide extensive plans to help you with the frame attachment, the roof assembly and glazing the conservatory.
In addition on this website there are a good number of guides to assist with all aspects of conservatory construction. The main thing to remember is that some parts of the conservatory will be heavy and therefore it is essential that you are fit and have assistance to lift these parts. This is particularly the case with items like the French doors. Bear in mind that these are steel reinforced as well as large and that the glass units are large and heavy before attempting to fit them. Happily we very rarely have any problems with the construction as our customers use their common sense before tackling the build. So go ahead and enjoy the process and be happy to know that at the end of a couple of days work you will have a first class conservatory that you built yourself and that you have saved thousands of pounds in the process!
