Most of our customers want to use their conservatory all year round. Now in the old days this would have meant huge heating bills due to the flimsy polcarbonate roofs that other companies would have used and either single or bog standard double glazed windows. Heat would escape from these as fast as you could put it in thus adding to Global warming and not doing your bank balance any favours.
With the rapid rise in energy prices, this is simply no longer an option. Our philosophy is somewhat defferent to this. We design our DIY conservatories with all year round comfort built in. Firstly, as polycarbonate roofs are a popular choice due to cost, we decided that a better product was required. To this end we introduced 35mm multi chambered polycarbonate roofs where these were specified and Low E Argon filled 24mm double glazed units in the case of a glass roof.
This was and improvement in its' self, but then we thought about the other main area of heat loss - the windows. Since we already manufacture energy rated windows, we thought that this would significantly enhance our self build conservatories, and it has! The standard rating for a Prior DIY conservatory window is a 'C' rating. Quite often these are better than what are already fitted into our customers' houses and we have been known to supply a whole house full of new windows at the same time as supplying the conservatory.
For those customers who want that little bit extra, we can offer 'A' rated windows for their conservatory. These, again manufactured by ourselves, are the best windows available on the market and have been proved to significantly reduce heating bills. When used in our conservatories, they add comfort and reliability all year round. They also work the other way in the summer by keeping the conservatory cooler. So in order to get maximum use from your new Prior DIY conservatory, do not forget to state the window rating that you would like!
