All of our DIY conservatories are supplied with 'C' rated windows as standard. This is because we like to do things a little differently and offer our customers more than just a standard double glazed conservatory. The advantages are obvious - heating a self build conservatory is much easier if the side windows do not let all the heat out as fast as you pump it in. Also, the reverse happens in the hot weather as they are very good at keeping the heat out as well..
However, as some of our customers want to use the DIY conservatory as an all year round office or place of work and play, they opt for the other option that we offer, that being 'A' rated frames. You do not get any better than these and in very many cases our 'A' rated windows are far and away better than the windows fitted to the house. The actual extra price of having these BFRC approved energy rated windows incorporated into the conservatory is not huge by any means, and if you need this option then just ask for it during the initial design stages.
