CEILING FANS IN YOUR DIY CONSERVATORY

Wednesday August 3, 2011 at 12:13pm

You will most likely have seen almost every picture of a conservatory with an ornamental ceiling fan bolted into the roof space. Some are fans only and some are light and fan combinations. Are they needed?

Obviously the fact that many have lights would be a bonus in the dark, but as all of the fans are reversible, they also have other uses as well. In the winter they can be used to blow the trapped heat in the roof down in the Gable, Edwardian and Victorian style conservatories with a high roof. Similarly when the weather is hot they can help to keep things cool in this kind of weather.

The only thing to remember is get them installed by a qualified electrician!
