WHAT A BUSY DAY WE HAVE HAD!

Thursday July 7, 2011 at 4:04pm

Thursdays are normally quite busy in the mornings as it our main order day. Making sure that we have sufficient PVCu profile to cover the windows, doors and conservatories is essential and because we are fully computerised when it comes to production, this is reletively easy to achieve.

Our software allows us to print out a set of sheets for the amount of PVCu we need, what colour, how much steel for reinforcing the frames, right down to the number of handles and hinges that each conservatory needs. Not to mention the glass ordering process!

This is enough to keep us busy today, but then on top of this there are the day to day things to do, such as quoting, talking to our potential customers about their needs, and then designing the conservatories for them. They may change their minds several times during the design process, but that is what we are here to do - achieve the perfect DIY conservatory every time.

As well as all of this, there are cvonservatory deliveries to sort out across the country. We try and give an accurate time of arrival for each customer as many have taken time off work to be there, and the last thing they or we want is for them to be waiting around all day.

When the conservatories arrive at their intended destination, there are the balance payments to be sorted out. These are almost always debit card payments done over the telephone, or cash given to the drivers. This is always done after the conservatory has been off loaded and the customer is happy that all parts are there.Again, we have check lists for this purpose.

Amidst this organised business the telephone rings constantly with enquiries, questions, " how do we find your factory" ( we are very rural here ) and any number of trade or retail enquiries. This all applies to every day from Monday to Friday, and this is why we are closed at the weekend!"
