PRIOR DIY CONSERVATORIES AND BI FOLD DOORS

Friday June 24, 2011 at 2:14pm

As is well known, we supply our DIY conservatories with either a single opening in or out door or the far more popular French doors opening out. We have however been asked a good number of times about Bi fold doors being used in conjunction with our conservatories.

I was asked the other day if a Bi fold could be fitted across the entire front elevation of one of our lean to designs. Well, technically it could be done, but this is no job for the DIY'er or novice fitter! They are remarkably hard to fit correctly so that they run smoothly, and there are other issues as well, such as they will not support the conservatory roof. Then there is cost!! If you work on a little over a thousand pounds per metre width, you would be somewhere near. We only ever supply aluminium Bi fold doors as they are the best, but we always use our parent company, www.priorproducts.co.uk to fit them.

French doors are very strong, will support the roof, and look the part on a Prior DIY conservatory, and that is why we use them exclusively!
