YOUR DIY CONSERVATORY DESIGN

Thursday March 17, 2011 at 3:43pm

As most of our customers have a good idea of what they want, but have never had to think about conservatory design before, this is where we come in. There are quite a few things to consider such as the style, the overall height where the conservatory will join to the house - is there a window in the way? Other common problems are manholes where the base is going, boiler outlet flues and waste pipes in the way.

Although it is up to you to arrange to have these things sorted out, it is nothing that we have not encountered before and there is usually quite a simple solution to the problem Fottings are another favourite! We advise never to put a conservatory on existing slabs or using a durabase, as these have been known to move under the weight of a conservatory. A little effort with proper footings will save no end of trouble in the long run. Call us for any problems or advise that you may need!
