We have calls at this time of year concerning condensation on the outside pane of our C and A rated windows. This is not a problem with the window, but shows that the window is doing its' job properly. As no heat is being transferred from the inside pane to the outside, there is none of your hard earned heat leaking through the glass unit to warm up the outer pane and evaporate the mist. As soon as the air outside warms a little, the condensation will clear.....

We are often asked this question by potential customers! As we advertise that we manufacture BFRC enegy rated windows, it would be rather stupid not to. Other companies in the area say that they make their own windows, but ask them for a look at the factoy in operation and you will not have a positive outcome! However if you ring us up and ask top have a look at our factory, that is exactly what you will get. From our internal office windows the entire factory can be viewed in operation.....

The key to succeding with your DIY dwarf wall conservatory is the base and brickwork. If this part of the build it spot on then assembling the PVCu frames and roof will be a doddle! If bricklaying is not your strong point, it would definately pay to get an expert to constuct the dwarf wall. For our part, we will supply comprehensive base plans including internal and external string lines to check the brickwork with. This minimises any error and the conservatory will sit dead square and level ....

Judging by the number of conservatories we are selling, it would appear that most people are investing in one rather than moving to a larger house. After all, think of the advantages of building your own Prior DIY conservatory! Fistly, think of the money you can save over having one built for you at vast expense. Think of all of that lovely extra space you would gain, and the fact you could be 'in' your garden all year round. Come Christmas time, you could shut all of those annoying relatives i....

If you have checked out todays weather forcast, you will have seen that tonight is the first ground frost of the year. If you have our 'A' or 'C' rated windows fitted in your house, you would not even realize that it was freezing outside until you open the door to let the cat out!....

With the weather now changing to a more autumnal feel, now is a good time to check your flashing is properly secured and to clean out your guttering and check it for leaks. This could save problems when winter hits!....

Regardless of who manufactured your windows, there is something important to check before the first frosts are upon us. Double glazing only works at peak efficiency when the double glazed unit, or panel as some call it, has an intact seal. This allows the unit to work correctly and stops the leaking of heat from your house to the outside world. Typically, if the glass unit is starting to fail, you will notice at certain times of day a mist appearing that you cannot wipe off. This is occurring....

Not sure why, but I have just parked my motorbike in the centre of Oxford and gone looking for my friend, and have passed a whole street of very nice houses - not one with a conservatory attached to it! I had better let the secret out for these people. Go to this website and design and build your own DIY conservatory, price it up and we will deliver it to your door at very little extra cost. All you need is the labour and some unsuspecting friends to give you a hand to assemble your DIY conse....

There are many companies offering a DIY conservatory, but are they as good as they seem? Many will offer you a cheap conservatory - and that is just what you are getting - a cheap pile of plastic and glass which is not going to last, We, however, do things slightly differently! As we actually manufacture our own conservatories, and take a huge amount of time talking to our customers, we make what they want. We do not provide many 'bolt together' frames - if we can make each side of your conse....

We often get asked about bases. After all it is the most important part of the conservatory. Some manufacturers suggest using a product like durabase. These are prefabricated in steel or similar and are supposed to be plonked onto a flat bit of ground upon which your conservatory will sit. This sounds great until the ground moves over time with the weight of the conservatory on top of it. We have had phone calls asking what can be done about this. In effect - not a lot! Normally there is no alt....
