If you have a window and door installed by a Fensa registered company such as Prior Conservatories, at the completion of that installation, you will recieve a Fensa certificate and thus, if you wish to sell your house, your solicitor will be happy with the aforementioned certificate. ( You cannot sell without one ).
Many people purchasing a conservatory or a front porch do not realize that as far as Fensa are concerned, these do not need or even can get a certificate. Sure, you will have our warranty, which varies upon the product you buy, but in particular, a conservatory or porch are not included.
As a porch or conservatory, whether it be built or DIY, Fensa regard these as extra structures not included in the main fabric of the house. As a result, they are not applicable for Fensa registration. However, if you have a pair of French doors or an inline Patio door leading from the house to the conservatory, these are included and will require a Fensa certificate! A porch is regarded as a conservatory and will not be included.
Just though you might like to know!
