WHY A BFRC WINDOW?

Thursday March 18, 2010 at 11:12am

When you take the trouble to buy energy rated windows, how do you know that the product you are paying out for is actually a properly rated product, and not a window that you have been told that it is?

All energy rated windows must  have two labels on them. The label will be silver or gold and will have the BFRC license number on it, the window manufacturers name and the rating of that window, 'A' or 'C' in our case. Another way to be certain that your hard earned cash is being spent on an officially recongnised product is to check on the BFRC website. If the manufacturer appears on the website, all is well, if not, the windows are not tested or rated and are fake.
