Bi-fold doors

Friday September 25, 2009 at 9:53am

Bi-fold doors are the ideal solution when you need to open a room right up, for example, onto a patio. They can be fully opened with pairs of door panels sliding to either side, partly opened or fully closed to keep out the weather.

Bi-fold doors are very easy to operate, and come complete with upper and lower parallel tracks for the doors to run on. They are also available in inward or outward opening configurations. External doors are double glazed with toughened safety glass, and for added ventilation, can be fitted with trickle vents to the top frame of the door, providing ventilation even when the doors are closed.

The doors are also rigorously tested to withstand extreme weather, and do not let wind and rain enter the propery. They also allow a great deal of natural light into a room. Security is also another feature, with insurance approved locking mechanisms provided. All in all, bi-fold doors are a great solution when a large opening is required.
