Self Build Conservatories

Friday June 12, 2009 at 2:33pm

Prior self build conservatories are the ideal solution to extending your house to obtain an extra room, without having to spend a fortune in the process. Also there is the satisfaction gained in the knowledge that when the conservatory is built and completed inside and out, you can turn to your friends and say that you built it yourself.

As the self build comes in kit form from Prior Conservatories, the building overheads are dramaticly reduced, as, instead of employing various tradesmen at inflated prices, the only extra cost is your own labour. Built easily with a normal grasp of household DIY, and assembled using tools found in most houses, there is no easier or better way to extend your home.

Whatever you decide to use the new conservatory for, you will very soon wonder how you managed without it. The extra space created can be used year round, and for extra comfort on those hot days, or freezing winter nights, air conditioning and heating units are a popular choice.

All of our self build conservatories are made entirely to our customers specifications. As we manufacture our own frames, the whole conservatory can be designed to be extremely strong and durable, as opposed to the bolt together variety where the structure is made up from standard sized frames. This means that instead of using several joined frames to create a conservatory side, we would make one frame to do the same job wherever possible. This gives a far more rigid structure.

There are also many choices when it comes to the style of conservatory. The most popular is the Lean - To, which can be fitted to lower buildings such as a bungalow due the variable roof pitch. Other popular styles that we produce include the Edwardian and Victorian. For the adventurous customer with plenty of space, there is also the P shaped. These all are available with various roof options from polycarbonate to toughened roof glass. Both are also able to be provided in anything from clear to coloured. All in all, there is a style and size to suit everyone here at Prior Conservatories.
