Gable End Conservatories

Tuesday May 26, 2009 at 2:38pm

The gable end conservatory is a flat fronted style with a full height roof running its entire depth. The actual gable can be of several designs. The most popular one being with upright mullions to support the roof and line through with the frames below.

An alternative gable end consists of a sunburst design, with a semicircular centre section and three or more radiating spokes. This design is better for the larger gable end conservatory.

For maximum height, the roof pitch can be increased beyond the normal twenty five degrees. This will give a airy interior and a great feeling of spaciousness.
